New Business Development Director - David Probert

New Business Development Director Joins Seddon Plant & Engineers Ltd

David Probert has joined Seddon Plant & Engineers Ltd as the new Business Development Director – bringing three decades of international business, commercial enhancement strategy, marketing and sales experience with him.

Coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic and following a careful re-structure and re-focus, the Seddon Plant & Engineers Ltd brand is in a place of great expansion and David Probert’s new role as Business Development Director will be a big part of its future growth, through tough economic circumstances.

David will work directly with Managing Director, Stephen Seddon and the sales and marketing team based at the Seddon Plant HQ in Bolton, as well as with the nationwide team – with the aim of continuing the growth and development of the UK’s No.1 leading distributors and manufacturers of an extensive range of plant equipment for multiple UK markets.

Seddon Plant & Engineers Ltd Managing Director, Stephen Seddon said: “We are thrilled to have someone with the experience and insight of David come to Seddon Plant & Engineers. David joins us directly from an International Sales Director’s role at a major scaffolding supplier to the global construction industry. He is well placed to enhance our position as the UK’s
leading distributors and manufacturers of a growing, extensive range of equipment serving a wide variety of markets.”

David Probert added: “This is such a great firm, with a proud 125-year history – offering not just the best products, but a level of loyalty and customer service I have rarely witnessed in 30 years of top level international business. I have been made to feel very welcome by some truly exceptional people in this well-established business, who are offering an outstanding service nationally. I am very excited to be part of the team, and to start making a few small changes that should result in some big returns for the business, cementing its future in this sector as it heads towards 150 years at the top of the plant hire and sales industry.

“These are challenging times to be in business – with the impact of COVID on-going, inflation biting hard and the cost of living rising, domestically and professionally. But we are fully committed here at Seddon Plant to help our valued customers through these challenging times, with some fantastic special offers, loyalty schemes and a first class product range, website and customer service focused team. Stay tuned for exciting times ahead.”
