We are firmly committed to delivering a high level of customer service and our ultimate aim is to ensure that our customers are satisfied with the equipment and level of service they receive from Seddons Plant and Engineers Ltd every time they deal with us.
We will engage with our customers and suppliers on a regular basis and make every effort to deliver sustainable partnerships and products and services which have minimum impact on the environment. Our aim is to ethically deliver continuous improvement through collaborative working.
In summary, we aim to:
- Develop a 'customer-focused' culture with a focus on delivering service excellence
- Regularly interact with our customers and suppliers to understand their requirements
- Treat our customers and suppliers fairly and ethically at all times
- Develop sustainable solutions to meet our customers' needs
- Engage and support local communities and economies
- Ensure socially and environmentally responsible sourcing of equipment and other goods in our supply chain

Community Policy
At Seddons Plant & Engineers Ltd, we respect the interests of the local communities in which we trade and actively contribute to the wellbeing of these communities. We treat our local communities fairly and responsibly with dignity and respect at all times.
We carry out fundraising activities wherever possible, for example generating charitable funds for cancer research, and encourage our staff to participate in initiatives that can bring about positive changes to local communities, both economically and socially. We have actively supported our staff in their fundraising initiatives by making company contributions to help boost funds. We also engage with local schools and colleges to assist with educational initiatives and the development of employability in students.
As an equal opportunities employer, we support our communities by recruiting locally and developing staff members from all sections of the community. We consult and listen to both our colleagues and our wider communities, in order that we can understand their views.
Environmental Policy
We acknowledge our responsibility to the environment and are firmly committed to reducing our environmental impact. We aim to operate our business activities in a sustainable manner and will continuously improve our ability to identify, measure and control the environmental impact of our activities.
We will make every effort to procure environmentally responsible equipment and manage our processes to significantly reduce negative impact from our operating methods.
In summary, we aim to:
- Support and comply with or exceed the requirements of current environmental legislation, guidance and codes of practice
- Minimise our waste and reuse or recycle as much of it as possible
- Wherever possible, procure products and services that cause the least damage to the environment, for example recycled and sustainably sourced materials
- Minimise energy and water usage in our buildings, vehicles and processes in order to conserve supplies
- Operate and maintain company vehicles with due regard to environmental issues as far as reasonably practical
- Apply the principles of continuous improvement in respect of air, water, noise and light pollution from our premises and reduce impact from our operations on the environment and local communities
Quality Policy Statement
The Directors of Seddon Plant & Engineers Ltd consider the quality aspects of our operations to be of primary importance to the successful management of the company. We are committed to continued growth, the continual improvement of our Quality Management System and in satisfying applicable requirements, including statutory and regulatory.
Seddon Plant & Engineers Ltd is completely committed to provide a consistently high level of service to our customers and to continually improve in the effectiveness of our quality management system.
We are committed to enhancing customer satisfaction through the provision of resources, effective application of our Quality Management System and with it a socially responsible attitude to the delivery of our products and the service provided throughout the relevant locations and business operations.
In order to achieve and support the above policy statement, the company shall introduce and maintain a quality management system compliant to the requirements of BS:EN ISO 9001:2015 and be subject to regular audits by independent parties and subject to regular review at Director level.
As Managing Director I take full responsibility to ensure that this policy is communicated and implemented throughout the organisation and any other interested parties.
