Super Deduction Allowance, What Is Happening Now?
This latest budget saw the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt announce a new policy of “full expensing” (FE), to replace the Super Deduction Allowance (SDA) which expires at the end of March 2023.
Asset managers for plant and machinery end-users will welcome this new policy and the changes it brings, although it is not clear whether plant and equipment hirers will also be eligible for the scheme.

What We Do Know Is :
This scheme will be in place for the next 3 years, starting on 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2026.
The equipment eligible under the FE scheme covers :
- Warehousing equipment (e.g., forklift trucks, ladders...)
- Construction equipment (e.g., bulldozers, excavators...)
- Office machines (e.g., computers, printers...)
- Office equipment (e.g., chairs, desks...)
- Vehicles (e.g tractors, lorries…)
- As well as some fixtures for bathrooms, kitchens, fire alarms systems…
100% of the costs can be deducted against profits, immediately.
FE will result in 25p tax saving in every £1 invested.
With this in place, now is a better time than any to take a look at our website to find the equipment you need.
