Tracked Dumper Moves Mountains on the £140m Glendoe Hydro Scheme

High demand in landscaping and construction work has led to Airdrie-based Seddons Plant & Engineers selling a range of construction equipment to Campbell Plant Hire, an independent equipment rental company based in Inverness.

Campbell Plant Hire has purchased a number of Honda TD650 Tracked Dumpers from Seddons Plant and Engineers on Brownsburn Industrial Estate, Airdrie, as the TD650 is proving to be one of the most popular pieces of kit for landscaping and construction work amongst Campbell Plant Hire’s customer base.

Mark Campbell of Campbell Plant Hire said: “The Honda TD650 Tracked Dumper is designed to enable landscapers or construction workers to move large loads quickly and easily. It’s very popular with our landscaping customers as it causes no damage to grass and it is highly suited for work in residential gardens due to its narrow width enabling it to fit through standard walkways.

“A number of larger organisations also hire the Honda TD650 from us for work on large construction projects. For instance, a number of units are being used on one of Scotland’s largest civil engineering projects, the £140m Glendoe Hydro Scheme situated in the hills above Loch Ness. The Honda TD650 is perfect for this kind of application, as it offers excellent traction across challenging terrain. We purchase the Honda TD650 from Seddons Plant because of the high service levels we receive and next day delivery,” he continued.

Seddons Plant & Engineers Ltd was formed in 1951 and has become firmly established as one of the UK’s leading distributors and manufacturers of a vast range of equipment for market sectors including plant and tool hire, construction, civil engineering, utilities and groundcare. Operating from Airdrie and several other branches nationwide, the company offers equipment, parts and engines from globally known manufacturers including Honda, Stihl, Pramac, SDMO and Winget.
